A Year at Work

Looking for a certain lack of craftmanship.

Another Season in Hell is both a sequel to A Year at Work (Erkembode) and A Season in Hell (Rimbaud) – which makes A Year at Work the unaware prequel to Another Season in Hell. In fact, the title Another Season in Hell is an amalgamation of one of its original working titles, Another Year at Work, and Rimbaud’s A Season in Hell. It was written originally as a performance piece commissioned by The Other Room. A limited run of spiral bound versions of the text were published by Bear Press for its performance at The Kings Arms, Salford. Erkembode read the days of the week and Davis read the responses. A revised version was soon after published by if p then q (with the added subtitle a tragedy of songs sung by the sad.) A Year at Work also participated in the experimental interview series, Emergency Erkembode (2023), with its author, Erkembode.
